Nashville International Airport (BNA)

Airport Report - IS subheader
Nashville International Airport (BNA)

Although no longer a hub for a major airline, with over 11 million passengers annually, Nashville International Airport is one of the fastest-growing airports in the U.S. It operates 380 flights daily, to more than 50 non-stop markets. Passenger numbers are expected to double over the next 20 years as the airport authority focuses on increasing non-stop destinations as well as adding international flights. Service to Latin America is a high priority.

Getting Around: 47 aircraft gates are spread over three concourses—A, B and C—and 10 airlines service the airport. Concourse A is home to United and Frontier airlines, concourse B hosts Delta, with the rest of the airlines using concourse C. With a main terminal hub of over 1,000,000 square feet in size, it’s important to leave adequate time if connecting between concourses.

Numerous shuttles operate from the airport, with some providing transportation to destinations as far as 500 miles away.

Relaxing:  The airport authority is proud of its Arts at the Airport showcase—with its rotating exhibits—of local artists, both visual and musical. Musical performances cover many different genres and are located on four stages throughout the passenger terminal. Spend time at the Music City Faces exhibit by artist, Carter Andrews. This year-long exhibit is located at the Concourse C food-court.

Alternatively, relax with a cold beverage anywhere in the terminal, as the airport-wide beer and wine license makes it possible to take a beverage to-go.

Dining: If you’re looking for entertainment with your meal, we recommend a visit to Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge on Concourse C at the airport. This venue is a spin-off of the original honky-tonk bar which is located behind the Ryman Auditorium. It’s a great place to relax and listen to performances by talented local musicians while enjoying barbeque from Swetts or Whitt’s, two long-time barbecue restaurants also located on Concourse C.

For a dining option other than barbecue, dine at Blue Coast Burrito, an authentic “Fresh-Mex” franchise which originated in the Baja. Build your own burrito or try one of their famous fish tacos. All salsas and dressings are their own.

Wi-Fi: Unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all public areas of the airport.
