The cost of meals can be one of the most difficult expenses to control when your employees are traveling. Here are a few tips on how to take advantage of great deals while still allowing your travelers to eat well.

Most business travelers carry Smartphones so one good option is to enroll in some of the coupon APPS in the marketplace such as Groupon and Scoutmob. Groupon requires you to purchase the "deal" up front while Scoutmob is an actual e-coupon program with no purchase necessary. These e-coupons or deals are donwloaded directly to their Smartphone and presented to the restuarant when paying the bill.

Also check out options using Yelp. Yelp is similar to a search engine/review site and many restaurants advertise online coupons or discount specials for diners.

Another option is using Opentable to make reservations and earn points and discounts toward dining.

Of course a great budgeting tool is to choose hotels that include breatkfast, happy hour with snacks or food & beverage credits.

Any of these option with help with overall travel expenses.
